"The Grass Catcher"
for Regular Lawn Edging Shears
 

1. IMPORTANT  The outer surface of the lower blade (facing when handles are on the right hand side as diagram) must be free of oil and grease or the adhesive strip will not stick. Use strong detergent/washing up liquid to clean (on new shears also). Remove any light rust with an abrasive or steel wool. Dry the surface completely before applying the adhesive strip.

2. Peel back the VELCRO^® strip backing approximately 1” and tack it onto the lower blade. Start 19mm (3/4”) in from the point of the blade and align flush with the straight bottom edge of the blade. Carefully pull away the backing and lay down the strip. Trim round the curve.

3. Keeping the two parts of the VELCRO^® apart, place both blades (closed) into the box so that the tip of the bottom blade is level with, or just above, the top front edge of the box. Press together firmly along the whole length.
