An easy to use device for holding soft plastic containers, bottles, jars, ring-pull tins, etc, to enable them to be opened/ closed using only one hand.

Can assist with:

 * Bottle/ jar tops;
 * Peel-off carton tops (eg Yogurt);
 * Push-off tops (usually medicines);
 * Push-down child resistant caps (eg medicines, household cleaners, etc);
 * Ring-pull tins;
 * Non round objects.

Clamping Containers

Place the device on a worktop/ table with the underside hooks touching the worktop/ table edge.
Push both metal lugs fully forward so that the belt forms a “diamond” loop (as photo).
Place the container inside the loop (container must be dry).
  If the container has a peel-off or push-off top ensure that the tab is beside the “V” of the CapGrippa body.
Pull back both metal lugs until tight.

Opening Containers

Bottles/ jars can be unscrewed by turning the cap either by hand or using another opening tool.
Peel-off and push-off tops must be peeled/ pushed in a direction away from  the CapGrippa  body.
Ring-pull tins should be positioned so that the ring is pulled away from the CapGrippa body.

Cleaning

The device can be wiped clean externally using a damp cloth.
The belt can be wiped clean with a wet cloth containing some washing up liquid, which will be necessary to maintain a good grip if a spillage has occurred.

Sizes:  25mm - 95mm diameter (1” - 3-3/4” dia) containers. (The maximum size corresponds to a 2 litre plastic soft drinks bottle).  Base supplied to fit 32 mm thick worktops.

 For 40 mm thick  worktops unscrew the underside hooks and fit the longer hooks supplied. Screw in until the clamp just fits over the worktop, leaving the ends pointing inwards at approximately 45 degrees.

This device uses a slightly modified hand held CapGrippa Jar/Bottle/Ring-pull Tin Opener which is available separately and can be operated by one hand. The CapGrippa Bottle Cap Removers can be easily fitted and used with one hand.
